  • Ongoing teaching observation with emphasis on teacher language and error correction
  • Learn techniques for teaching reading and writing
  • Understanding and learning classroom management skills
  • Adapting ELT materials to different levels and ages
  • Understanding modern language learning from a learner's perspective
  • Troubleshooting
  • Learn techniques for teaching phonology
  • Lesson planning workshops
  • Learning teaching methodology
  • Continued work on teaching project and assignment
  • Comparing English to other languages
  • Teaching practice

Week Three
  • Continued Teaching Practice lessons with added emphasis on achieving lesson aims and adapting lessons to different styles, levels and ages
  • Further development of reflective teaching abilities
  • Mid-course self-evaluation and feedback on teaching project from trainer
  • Learn how to teach lessons focused on listening and speaking skills
  • Learning English for Special Purposes (ESP)
  • Using audio-visual technology in the classroom
  • Evaluating learners' progress and creating learning outcomes
  • Learner autonomy inside and outside the classroom
  • Continued development of language analysis skills
  • Ongoing trainer and peer feedback sessions
Week Four
  • Learn specific skills for teaching Business English
  • Learn specific skills for teaching Young Learners
  • Focus on professional development possibilities and awareness
  • Teaching to multiple intelligences
  • The importance of continuing professional development for English language teachers
  • NLP and rapport building strategies
  • Presentation of project
